Partnerships Manager

We’re looking for a passionate and creative Partnerships Manager to help us scale and supercharge our company’s growth. This manager is an experienced all-star partnerships and community-builder, who is results-driven, thrives when facilitating mutually beneficial connections and has a creative entrepreneurial spark at heart. 

This is a high-impact, visible role in which you’ll be the face of the Matter Unlimited brand in many instances (both offline and online) as you help develop and kickoff our Partner experience.  You believe in the power of teamwork and transparency to raise the possibility of the purpose economy through our new business growth period. This role is a high growth role where professional development and mentorship is prioritized. 

If you’re looking for autonomy, creative driven strategy and deep impact in your everyday life, we’d love to hear from you. We are fully remote for the time being, though we will likely move to a hybrid model in late 2022. Being NYC/Tri-State based is preferred for this role.

What We’re Looking For

In this role, you will report to the Director of Client Partnerships and will primarily be responsible for managing and fostering a sales pipeline and maintaining relationships with clients and organizational stakeholders. This role is client facing, you will be responsible for professional, timely and consistent representation of the Matter Unlimited team.

Key duties of this position include overseeing or executing the following:

New Business Development

  • Develop outreach strategies and messaging to target specific partnership verticals
  • Convey Matter Unlimited’s unique value proposition to interested partners and clients
  • Build trust and rapport with prospects, resulting in a healthy sales pipeline of qualified leads
  • Maintain steadfast persistence and attention to detail to track towards our shared goals. 
  • Perform full funnel prospecting, driving opportunities from inception to close
  • Once a partner is signed, you may work in conjunction with account managers to help increase client satisfaction.
  • Support leadership team in identifying, tracking trends and sourcing new strategic experiential and thought leadership opportunities to strengthen new business outreach 
  • Collaborate with the Executive, New Business and Marketing team leadership to source opportunities to creatively and consistently improve our own sales positioning to stand out from the competition.
  • Refine and impeccably manage a database of current, past and prospective partners and clients.

Marketing & Operations

  • Work cross-functionally with Marketing, Design and Account teams to analyze and identify opportunities for strengthening our Partnership Development opportunities
  • Provide recommendations and insights on the website SEO and newsletter performance, as well as assist in the development and management of those channels as relevant to improving business performance
  • Collaborate and assist in the development, optimization and automation of the partner development success playbook for internal process strengthening. 
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of updates and developments in the ESG, social impact and digital space
  • Attend events as needed (industry-related, client activations, company-specific, etc.)
  • Manage seasonal interns and eventually junior associates.
