About the Gig


You will report to our Creative Director of Story and work alongside them and other writers, designers and art directors to develop concepts and editorial copy for non-profit campaigns, ESG platforms and narratives and a range of digital content ideas for a variety of mission driven entities.

Specifically you will be:

  • Bringing written concepts to life across a channel ecosystem 
  • Presenting to clients and pitching to new business clients 
  • Developing manifesto’s, taglines, website copy, ad copy, report copy and key messaging documents 
  • Proofing final integrated asset deliveries for launch to ensure quality and consistency 
  • Working with animators and directors to bring digital content to life
  • Brainstorming and ideation with strategy and creative teams 
  • Crafting many of Matter Unlimited thought leadership products

What we are looking for:

  • You are an experienced writer and want to apply your craft to helping solve some of the world’s greatest challenges.
  • You enjoy a wide spectrum of copy assignments from brand journalism and editorial content to tagline creation and social campaign copy.
  • You are curious, a lifelong learner, and passionate about making the world a better place 
  • You are detail oriented which means you dive deep into the reading and research to bring a sensitivity and nuance to your writing (and are eager to do this across a range of social justice issues including Climate Opportunity and Health Equity)
  • You are steeped in cultural knowledge, and can apply that knowledge in keeping our work on the leading edge of relevance.  
  • Organized, composed, articulate, and persuasive – you enjoy presenting to clients and walking them through a well crafted narrative 
  • Able to partner and collaborate with Brand Strategists, Designers, Art Directors and Internal Business Leads effectively.
  • You want to take a leap into a new model for the industry – one that wants to support the businesses and organizations of the future and leave a positive mark on the planet.
