Christopher and Dana Reeve Foundation
The Christopher and Dana Reeve Foundation is dedicated to curing spinal cord injury by advancing innovative research and improving quality of life for individuals and families impacted by paralysis. For the first time, the foundation invited their community to come together at the Reeve Summit to learn and connect with experts changing the culture and reality of spinal cord injury and paralysis.
During this three-day event, attendees listened to powerful keynotes from Senator Tom Harkin and Robin Roberts and participated in sessions about advocacy, cutting-edge research, caregiving, travel, and employment. We collaborated closely with the Reeve Foundation to develop a run of show and program that integrated their desire to educate their attendees and highlight a breadth of perspectives.
Moreover, we managed the participation of each speaker, advised on the best protocol for securing and coordinating sponsors and exhibitors, and negotiated and oversaw the AV and stage production for the entire summit. Our team handled the on-site execution of each component of the event, managing check-in, gift bag distribution, liaising with the banquet team, and overseeing the run of show.
To ensure that the event was an accessible gathering, we worked closely with our venue and banquet teams to adapt each room setup and furniture layout and adjust the layout presentation of the buffets, bars, and table settings. We built the foundation for a seamless event by utilizing an event technology platform to coordinate ticketing and registration, deliver email communications, and share program information.
